Privacy Policy

Pinxie ("Pinxie," "we," "us," or "our") is an AI photo app that turns the photos you upload into styled photoshoots. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Pinxie you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you sign in with Apple or Google we receive a basic identifier and, if you allow it, your name and email. You can also use Pinxie as an anonymous guest, in which case we hold no name or email — only an internal account id.
Photos you upload. The photos you choose are uploaded only to generate your results (see section 2).
AI profile photos. If you create an AI profile, the reference photos you add are uploaded to our AI provider (fal.ai) and we save the resulting links so the same photos can be reused for faster, one-tap generations. We store only the links, never the image files, and you can delete an AI profile at any time (see sections 2 and 7).
Usage & device data. Device characteristics (type, model, operating system, app version, language/region, screen and memory class), a coarse IP-derived region, and in-app interaction events — linked to your account and used to operate and improve the app, diagnose crashes, and understand how features are used.
Marketing & attribution data. If you allow it (see the marketing choice in the app and section 4), limited install and in-app event data plus a marketing source/campaign label, used to measure and improve our advertising. We never share your photos for this.
Purchases. Subscriptions and token packs are processed by the Apple App Store. We receive purchase status from our payments provider (RevenueCat); we never receive your card or payment details.

2. How your photos are processed

When you generate a photoshoot, the photos you upload and the style you pick are sent to a trusted third-party AI image provider (fal.ai) solely to produce your results.

We do not keep your original photos. Once a result is ready, only the generated images are saved to your library; your uploaded originals are not stored on our servers. We do not use your photos to train AI models, and we do not sell them.

AI profiles. If you choose to create an AI profile, the reference photos you add are uploaded to fal.ai and we keep the resulting fal.ai links so those photos can be reused for future generations without re-uploading. We store only these links on our servers (never the image files themselves); the photos are hosted by fal.ai. These references persist until you delete the AI profile or your account. They are never used to train AI models and are never sold.

3. Face Data & Biometrics

No biometrics, no facial recognition. Because Pinxie is a photo editor, the photos you upload may show your face. Pinxie does not perform facial recognition or identification, does not scan, map, or measure your facial geometry, and does not create, derive, or store any faceprint, biometric template, or other biometric identifier. We never use your photos or generated images to identify you or anyone else, and we use no face-scanning, depth-sensing, or face-recognition technology.

Only fal.ai ever receives your photos. The single third party that receives your photo content is fal.ai, our AI image-generation provider, which renders your chosen style. Our analytics (Amplitude), attribution (AppsFlyer / Meta), payments (RevenueCat), and crash-reporting (Sentry) providers never receive your photos or generated images. We require fal.ai to protect your data to the same or an equivalent standard described in this policy and to use your photos solely to generate your requested result.

Your consent, and what we keep. By selecting photos and starting a generation, you consent to Pinxie sending those photos to fal.ai solely to create the result you requested. You can withdraw this consent at any time by not starting further generations and, if you wish, by deleting your account; withdrawal does not affect processing already completed. Your uploaded original photos are not retained by Pinxie after your result is generated (the one exception is the reference photos you save to an AI profile — see section 2), and neither your photos nor your results are ever used to train AI models.

AI-generated images. Images Pinxie generates are AI renderings of your uploaded photos. They are not photographic records or real-life representations and should not be relied on for identity verification or for any legal, medical, or official purpose.

4. Third-party services

We rely on a small set of providers strictly to run Pinxie:

fal.ai — AI image generation (receives your uploaded photos + chosen style).
Apple — Sign in with Apple, App Store payments, and push notifications (APNs).
Google — Google Sign-In (if you choose it).
RevenueCat — subscription / purchase status management.
Sentry — crash and error monitoring.
Amplitude — product analytics (in-app interaction events) to understand and improve the app.
AppsFlyer — mobile attribution: measures which marketing campaigns lead to installs and in-app events.
Meta — receives aggregated install / event measurements (only with your permission) to gauge how our ads perform.

5. How we use your information

To generate your photoshoots and deliver your results.
To operate your account, balances, and subscription.
To keep the service safe, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms.
To diagnose problems and improve features.
To send you push notifications you've allowed (e.g. when a result is ready).
To measure and improve our advertising, if you allow it (aggregated events only — never your photos).

6. Sharing & disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with the service providers listed above to the extent needed to run Pinxie, or where required by law.

If you allow it (the marketing choice shown in the app), we also share limited, aggregated app activity — installs and in-app events — with advertising partners such as Meta to measure and improve our ads. We never share your photos or generated images for advertising, and you can decline this and keep using Pinxie fully.

7. Data retention

Uploaded original photos are not retained after your result is generated. If you create an AI profile, the reference-photo links you saved are kept until you delete that profile or your account (the photos themselves are hosted by fal.ai). Generated results stay in your library until you delete them or delete your account. When you delete your account, it is soft-deleted for a 30-day grace period (so you can restore it by signing back in) and then permanently removed along with your generated results and any AI profiles. Diagnostic, crash, and analytics events are kept only as long as needed to operate, secure, and improve the app, and purchase records are kept as long as required for tax and legal obligations.

8. Your choices & rights

Access, edit, or delete your content and account from within the app.
Delete your account (Profile → account options) — this removes your generations and account data after the grace period.
Manage push notifications in iOS Settings or the app's Notifications section.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (access, correction, deletion, portability). Contact us to exercise them.

9. Children

Pinxie is not directed to children. You must be old enough to consent to this policy in your country, and you must not upload photos of anyone under 18.

10. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your information.

11. International transfers

Your information may be processed on servers located outside your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above; continued use of Pinxie means you accept the updated policy.
